eBay planed to sell its recommendation engine site StumbleUpon

Sept. 23, according to foreign media, science and technology blog TechCrunch said, eBay has hired Deutsche Bank to help to sell its recommendation engine's Web site StumbleUpon.

According to foreign media reports, in May 2007, eBay spent 75,000,000 U.S. dollars bought in 2001 for the establishment of StumbleUpon, the site hope that the recommendation engine can help enhance the eBay user base the number of large-scale. StumbleUpon may have less than satisfactory performance, which eBay wants to their re-sale of his house.

According to comScore data shows that StumbleUpon global capacity of 1,300,000 visitors, page views 25,000,000. However, a year earlier, the volume of Web site visitors have been as high as 4,400,000, 31,000,000 page views.

However, StumbleUpon the number of registered users has been growing steadily. In April 2008, the number of registered users of the Web site were 5,000,000. Until September 22, 2008, the site's registered users has reached 6,020,000 people.

Currently, eBay has not yet disclose the asking price.

eBay Won Diffany in the Prosecution of Trademark Infringement Case
