September 11, according to foreign media reports, Nokia Wednesday announced that it has signed cooperation agreements with Microsoft, which will provide commercial e-mail services to Nokia mobile phones.
According to foreign media reports, the agreement provides that the cooperation aims to Nokia S60 mobile phone system to add commercial e-mail functions so that 80 million mobile phone users can enjoy this e-mail services. Nokia is intended to move to the BlackBerry maker RIM company to launch an attack. Nokia said that all pre-installed with the latest version of the S60 mobile phone software can use this Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync e-mail services.
Nokia said in a statement: "If users of the company is using the Microsoft Exchange e-mail, the user can not pay the additional cost of using mobile phones under the Exchange e-mail service." Nokia executive vice president Anssi Vanjoki said Nokia's cooperation with Microsoft will enable the enterprise e-mail service more complete.
Microsoft Exchange Server's vice president Terry Myerson said: "Nokia is a very meaningful cooperation partners, through it, Microsoft will provide e-mail service for 80 million S60 mobile phone users to maximize the value of Exchange Server."
